The Nuttii OX grinder is the supreme rechargeable electric grinder for the road. It is stylish, robust, comes equipped with a decent motor and burr set, and makes life on the road that much more pleasurable.
The relatively unknown Nuttii brand is in fact a sub-brand of well-known Chinese coffee company Timemore. By design, they are an offshoot of Timemore that is dedicated to: ‘providing innovative, portable, and electric coffee solutions.’ This is coffee gear for the coffee lover on the move. If this grinder looks familiar, it may be because you saw it at the 2025 Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Expo in Houston, where Nuttii had a stall.

The Nutti OX grinder is designed to fulfill a fairly niche hole in the market; the coffee lover on the move who can’t be bothered with the effort of a manual grinder. This grinder is elegant, intuitive, robust, rechargeable, grinds coffee well, and will make your life that little bit easier. Made by the well-reputed Timemore brand, it is a grinder worth considering if you love traveling.
Nuttii OX Grinder Review
The design and intention of the Nuttii OX grinder is simple, intuitive, and rather brilliant. It is called the OX for the O and X buttons on the front. O for grind, X to stop.
It is designed for the coffee lover in the woods, on the roads, who wants high-grade coffee but doesn’t want to deal with the effort of a manual grinder. Enter the OX. This grinder looks more like a to-go coffee mug or Fellow Canister than anything else, but it is tough, robust, made for travel, and simple to use. In fact, it was even a 2023 Red Dot winner! And I must admit that I am rather drawn to the aesthetics of this grinder. The different colour options, as well as gentle curves, give it a very Fellow-ish vibe.
The grinder is as intuitive as it is elegant. Simply pour the coffee beans into the top of the grinder, push down the O, wait until they are done, push the X, and remove the ground coffee using the dosing cup connected to the bottom. There are three lights on the front that indicate battery charge.
Being connected to Timemore means Nuttii are not newbies to the world of grinding, but instead come as a trusted option. The actual burrs used depend on the model. As explained below, there are two models of the Nuttii OX Grinder: the original OX Pro and the cheaper OX Lite. The Pro uses a self-developed hexagonal grinding core for uniform grinding. The metal used is seriously hard at 50-58 HRC and promises good lifespan and durability. This has been professionally tested for grind uniformity. The cheaper OX Lite uses the well known and reliable Timemore E&B conical burrs. This grinder will produce a fairly uniform grind for the full range of soft brewing options (from V60 to Cold Brew), but I would not personally trust it with espresso.
Both models also come equipped with anti-jamming Overload protection.
It is also worth noting that the 850mAh battery in this grinder is fairly impressive and should last 2 weeks to a month or up to 30 grinds. It is also rechargeable using the now-common Type-C charger (which comes in the box).
Grind Settings
The Nuttii OX grinder offers 20 stepped grind settings, making it versatile enough to accommodate a range of brewing methods, including espresso, moka pot, pour-over, and French press. Grind size is adjusted via a numbered dial, offering clear and simple control. Nuttii recommends settings 0–4 for espresso, 5–8 for moka pot, 12–17 for pour-over, and 18–20 for French press. While the range covers most common brew styles, the limited number of settings does not offer the fine-tuning required for espresso.
Nuttii OX PRO vs Nuttii OX Lite
As noted, there are actually two models of the Nuttii grinder (a fact not first apparent when browsing the web), the original and more expensive OX Pro, and the cheaper OX Lite. These two grinders look identical and share most of the same functionality. The difference largely comes down to building materials.
While the Nuttii Pro comes with an Aluminium Alloy sheath, the Lite comes instead with a hardened ABS plastic sheath. This makes it significantly lighter than the Pro but still very durable. The other major difference, as alluded to, is the burr set. Both are good burr sets, but the pro is unquestionably the better option.

Now obviously, the Nuttii OX is designed to fulfill a fairly niche hole in the market; the coffee lover on the move who can’t be bothered with the effort of a manual grinder. So if you are looking for a general grinder for home or work, this almost definitely isn’t it.
But if you travel often, like to take to the woods, have a case of wanderlust, and love coffee, then the Nuttii OX is worthy of your consideration. Without the partnership with Timemore, I would be highly dubious of an unnamed brand such as this. However, their partnership means they are no strangers or rookies to the realities of the world of grinding.
This grinder is elegant, intuitive, robust, rechargeable, grinds coffee well, and will make your life that little bit more pleasurable. Both models are fine options depending on your budget.
